The Law was weak through the flesh, in addition to the fact that it was constantly at war with the spirit.

It is through the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, that the believer experience freedom from the Law of sin and death.

The Law or First Covenant was interimly given as a consequence, it was subject to be replaced.

One must also understand, that once JESUS Christ had come, He is the promised seed was also authorized to establish a new, better & final covenant, thereby replacing that old covenant called the Law, which though Holy, Just & Good (Romans 7:7,12) was incapable of producing in the believer that perfection, which Christ required & demanded.

Why it was necessary for GOD to replace the first Covenant by the gospel of the Kingdom, was that certain aspects of that Covenant, alienated the Gentiles from GOD.

We were alienated from the Commonwealth of Israel, and as such were strangers from the Covenants of promise having no hope & were without GOD in the world (Ephesians 2:12).

When was the Seventh Day Sabbath first given to any man, as an ordinance to be kept?

The Seventh-day Sabbath commandment was never given to Adam and Eve, as an ordinance to be kept in the Garden of Eden.
